After a week that would test the resolve of anyone,
Kentucky Boy Michael Waltrip has made the Daytona 500. After having a substance that was alternately described as jet fuel and vasoline found in his gas tank, Waltrip's crew chief was fined 100K and Waltrip was docked 100 points. Plus he was not allowed to drive the car in today's qualifying race where 12 drivers went after two spots. But Mikey takes his backup car, gets in a tangle with Dale Earnhardt Jr., and finds a way to make the race. And then in classic Mikey style he cried multiple times during the day.
