A couple minor changes to your football program...
-- New linebacker
Xavier Peters will wear No. 5 for the defense. The Florida State transfer is still seeking immediate eligibility from the NCAA.
--
DeAndre Square, a sophomore linebacker, changed his number from No. 43 to No. 17. Square was eighth on the team in tackles last year with 35 tackles, 3.5 TFL and a sack.
-- Wide receiver
Josh Ali changed his number from No. 81 to No. 6. A junior this year, Ali is second among returning players in receptions last year, behind only Lynn Bowden.
-- New backup quarterback
Sawyer Smith will wear the No. 12. The incoming grad transfer out of Troy takes the number from Gunnar Hoak, who grad transferred out of the program.
