SEC-3491 I am back in the KSR office after four days at the 2017 Bourbon Classic in Louisville. I'll have more on that at some point, but for now I need to meet my Monday a.m. obligations with today's Top 10. Let's go.   1. It is SEC tournament week! There is so much #SECBasketballFever in the air as we enter one of our 52 favorite weeks of the year. As you well know, our beloved conference tournament hits the Music City on Wednesday and the Kentucky Wildcats will get two byes and then the winner of the Georgia/Tennessee 8/9 showdown. We don't particularly want to see the Bulldogs' J.J. Frazier again, but if you're Kentucky, you're expected to run through whoever emerges from those mid-week games. Fans' main concern should be surviving Nashville with a noon tip all three days, assuming the Cats reach the title game on Sunday. 2. Spring football started yesterday. As basketball heats up, football does too. Mark Stoops' bunch held its first spring practice yesterday and word around the program is it was a good one. https://twitter.com/UKFootball/status/838517142869979136 The Cats will hold the annual Blue-White game on Friday, April 14. 3. We will hear from John Calipari this morning. Coach Cal will make an appearance on the SEC men's basketball teleconference here in about 90 minutes. And because you're busy and don't have access to the teleconference's code, I will tune in and then report back with any news he shares during the call. You're welcome. 4. Missouri's Kim Anderson is stepping down. Pour one out for Missouri head coach Kim Anderson while you're in Nashville this week. The Tigers' head coach decided (or was forced) to resign at the end of the season following a seven-win year in which his team was a complete embarrassment to the conference. A former Tiger basketball star himself, Anderson is a favorite among the good people of Columbia, but his time has come and Mizzou will search for its third coach since 2011. 5. Shout out to Makayla Epps and Evelyn Akhator. Epps and Akhator were named to the SEC All-Tournament team yesterday. Kentucky's two senior averaged over 20 points in the two tourney games with Akhator averaging 23.5 and 10 rebounds per game while Epps averaged 21.5 points and seven rebounds per game. Those two don't get enough credit for keeping UK Hoops afloat after the disastrous offseason. 6. New college basketball poll coming out today. What's your guess for Kentucky? Seven? Eight? 7. Tyler Ulis was a part of the second shortest jump ball in NBA history last night. https://twitter.com/ESPNNBA/status/838527511898238977 Speaking of Tyler Ulis and last night, he also hit the game-winner: https://twitter.com/SportsCenter/status/838551272320040960 8. Willie Cauley-Stein almost had the dunk of the century. https://twitter.com/BleacherReport/status/838572039581511680 Cauley-Stein made both free throws, then Sacramento lost at the buzzer because Sacramento is Sacramento. 9. We are taping a television commercial today. Be on the lookout for a new commercial hitting LEX 18 in the near future as Matt and I will tape a brand new promo later today. I better not give away any spoilers, but we're excited to do it and it involves costumes. And a special guest. And a tattoo. 10. Up next: More Kentucky Sports Radio dot com and Kentucky Sports Radio radio. You'll want to tune in to know more about Shannon The Dude's wrestling career.
