Hello there, friends. It has been some time since I've had the distinct honor of writing the first post of the day here on Kentucky-Sports-Radio-dot-com. A lot's changed since then, whenever I last sat down with my coffee and a blank canvas to start the day. Have you lost weight? You look good. Me? Yeah, I've put on a couple or 12 pounds since the holiday but the diet starts Monday. For real this time. Anyway, enough small talk. Let's run through the hottest topics on our radar, quickly:   UK football returnees: Color me shocked that all four are returning. I was certain Edwards would be gone (wrong) and I thought there was decent chance Jones wouldn't be back next season for a variety of reasons (also wrong). The D is going to be STACKED with the returning NFL prospects plus a sophomore Josh Paschal and a defensive line that returns everyone who mattered. We want Bama. Lamar Thomas: Thomas is out as Kentucky's wide receivers coach in a mutual parting of ways. I like his personality--a lot actually--and the swagger he brought to the team, but name one recruit he signed. Exactly. He wasn't getting it done on the recruiting trail. Mitch Barnhart's letter to the Pac-12: Awesome. Read it here. UK Hoops: The eight-game losing streak is over, finally. It had been over a month since the Cats last won a game. John Calipari: He'll be available today to discuss tomorrow's game, although it won't be the usual Friday routine due to travel complications. The team went on to Nashville to get ahead of the weather, so Cal will host a teleconference for the media, which means no live video stream for the fans. Sorry. Blame the weather. Stupid weather. Weather: The hell is going on? Here in Lexington the temperature dropped 20 degrees in the span of an hour. I had on shorts yesterday! UK/Vanderbilt spread: It'll be out later today. My guess is Cats -4. Clemson: Lost to NC State last night by missing a free throw to force overtime with 0.2 seconds on the clock (no comment on the officiating on that foul call). But let's get to what really matters: Why would anyone go to Clemson? I'm not talking about anyone in particular, of course; I'm just saying. Definitely not talking about anyone specific who could go to Kentucky instead. I definitely wouldn't pick Clemson, if given the choice. Tonya Harding: Why is she all over my TV? People aren't celebrating her, are they? Are we supposed to feel sorry for her? I'm confused. I thought we were all in agreement that she is a terrible person who did a terrible, terrible thing to take away someone else's dream. When did that change? Carlton Bragg: Remember him? He was a Kentucky target as a five-star big man in the 2015 class, but chose Kansas over the Cats for college. He transferred to Arizona State at the end of last season, and will now transfer AGAIN, with Western Kentucky, Kent State, Akron, Buffalo, SMU, and Hofstra as his options. Panama City Beach: Is there a place where like-minded individuals gather to watch UK games in PCB or the surrounding area? I'll be there next month and need a good place to watch the Cats. Thanks. Shot In The Dark on Netflix: Watch it. It's my favorite thing in a long time. One scene early in the season had me yelling at the TV. Sleep Outfitters, Florence: We'll be there for today's show. If you're in or around the area, please join us, y'all.
