Morris finds his head, UK finds its stride

momo.jpg Oh what a difference an inspiried Randolph Morris can make. Kentucky rode a near flawless performance from the big fella en route to a 79-67 victory over Alabama. Morris poured in 17 points on 8-10 shooting, and snagged 11 rebounds as the Cats dominated the glass 32-25. Ramel Bradley shook off a cold start and remained his usual confident and aggressive self, adding 17 points of his own. An excellent, 'within himself' performance from Joe Crawford, whose 16 points helped keep the Tide asea. Bobby Perry continued to show why he's "March Bob" around here, with a solid 10 points. But it was once again the phenomenal play of freshman Jodie Meeks that remains the highlight for me. Jodie, what do you do wrong? 12 pts, 4 rbs, and 4 dimes, 3 dunks; that'll do. I think he's actually faster with the ball in his hands than when he's without it. Taurean Green is probably the only guard in the league that can match him in a footrace. I loved the defensive intensity and flat out effort the Cats displayed today, and it appears that they finally comprehend the importance of holding on to the ball...maybe, just maybe they've seanced the ghots of Atlanta past and are poised to make a run at this thing...of course, we'll have to wait until tomorrow at 1pm to see if this is indeed correct. Next Game: Mississippi St. Friday, 1pm
