Kentucky is looking hard for some positive momentum for the class of 2023. Offensive line coach Zach Yenser has made Philadelphia (Pa.) Northeast offensive tackle Naquil Betrand is a key target for the Big Blue Wall. The Wildcats appear to be firmly in the hunt.

On Monday, the three-star prospect and Colorado commitment announced a final six on Twitter. A flip is coming.

Kentucky was joined by Auburn, Georgia, Penn State, Syracuse, and Texas A&M in Betrand’s list of finalists. The offensive line prospect took official visits to Auburn, Kentucky, and Syracuse in June.

Currently, the Wildcats have a pair of offensive line targets committed — Austin Ramsey and Malachi Wood — as national signing day is just over five months away. All signs point to Kentucky adding two more players on the offensive line. Koby Keenum is a center prospect out of Alabama that the Wildcats are trending for with an announcement scheduled for July 9. Naquil Betrand could be the true offensive tackle Kentucky needs in this recruiting cycle.

After losing a couple of big recruitments during the Fourth of July weekend, Kentucky football could go for some positive news on the recruiting trail. Closing on Naquil Betrand would be a step in the right direction.
