NBA Cats Preseason Update
Devin Booker was the leading scorer, ending the game with 19 points for his team. He went up against former Cat Brandon Knight in the post, finishing the play with a bucket. The second half of Kentucky's favorite duo, Ulis, had a great game at guard creating plays for not only himself but also his teammates. He finished with nine points, five assists and three rebounds. Archie Goodwin played significant minutes and scored nine points as well. New Orleans Pelicans [caption id="attachment_208246" align="alignnone" width="320"] Photo by Layne Murdoch Jr./NBAE via Getty Images[/caption] The Pelicans, featuring former Wildcats Anthony Davis and Terrence Jones, showed out in the preseason against the Mavericks last night 116-102. Anthony Davis played less minutes than usual in order be ready for the Pelicans' first regular season game on October 26th, following his March 2016 injury. Regardless, he was a major key in the paint last night scoring 13 points and had three rebounds and one assist in the 12 minutes he played. Jones had 17 points, three assists and five rebounds in nearly the 30 minutes he played in the post. Jones said “I just wanted to be versatile. Play great defense and try to make plays for my teammates and myself.” Things are looking good for these two former Wildcats this season. Heads Up!
