NBA_Draft_2013 We are within five days until the 2013 NBA Draft kicks off in Brooklyn, New York, and the first ten prospects have been granted access to the famed “green room” for draft night. Those invited are Victor Oladipo (Indiana), Otto Porter (Georgetown), Alex Len (Maryland), Anthony Bennett (UNLV), Ben McLemore (Kansas), Trey Burke (Michigan), Michael Carter-Williams (Syracuse), C.J. McCollum (Lehigh), Cody Zeller (Indiana), and of course, our own Nerlens Noel. The players, their families, and usually a large entourage will be near the stage as they wait for their name to be called, surrounded by cameras and television screens. Cell phones will ring, speculation will fly, but they’re only a few steps away from shaking NBA commissioner David Stern’s hand when they finally do hear their name echo through the Barclays Center. Only ten players have received invitations so far, and typically there are around 13 players total; so a few more will likely be offered in the coming days. Most notably left off the list is Shabazz Muhammad (UCLA), along with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Georgia), and Kelly Olynyk (Gonzaga). The draft begins Thursday at 7 o'clock on ESPN.
