The NBA Draft has been postponed again. This morning, the league announced it is pushing the draft from October 16 to November 18. As with everything these days, that date remains subject to change due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Pushing the draft back gives the league a chance to hold a combine to evaluate prospects and more time to determine a start date for the 2020-21 season and conduct talks with the NBPA on collective bargaining agreement matters. Six former Cats have declared for this year’s draft: Tyrese Maxey, Immanuel Quickley, Ashton Hagans, Nick Richards, EJ Montgomery, and Kahlil Whitney. Of those, Maxey, Quickley, Hagans, and Richards are projected to hear their names called, according to Jonathan Givony’s latest mock draft:

  • 16. Tyrese Maxey (Trail Blazers)
  • 52. Immanuel Quickley (Kings)
  • 54. Ashton Hagans (Pacers)
  • 57. Nick Richards (Clippers)

Now here’s some footage of Maxey working out in Los Angeles:
