Seth Davis (boo!...and stuff) spoke with an NBA scout identified only as "Finch" about some of the top college prospects. He was given this pseudonym by Alexander Wolff, it being the surname of the protagonist in
To Kill a Mockingbird. Apparently, people want NBA scouts dead. What's more, Alexander Wolff is apparently a huge nerd.
Regardless, the scout had this to say about Jodie Meeks:
Jodie Meeks, 6-4 junior guard, Kentucky: "He's really played himself into the discussion. He's a sick athlete, and he's obviously a great shooter with size. I don't know if he's definitely a first-rounder, but he's on the board."
OH MY GOD, MEEKS IS SICK?!? No wonder he sat so long!
...
Oh, sick like the kids say. I got it. It's also worth mentioning that the mysterious "Finch" spoke of around 40 players with no mention of Patterson.
