Neloms will sit the first half

The SEC decided to take it easy on Martavius Neloms this week and not add additional punishment to his NCAA-mandated first half suspension.  Neloms will miss the first half of the Tennessee game by NCAA rule for his early exit Saturday for throwing a punch at Vanderbilt's Udom Umoh.  In Neloms' defense, I heard Udom said something about Enes Kanter riding the bench all season. The suspension comes at a terrible time when the Cats need everything they have to end the 25-game streak in Knoxville.  Neloms has been one of the few (and I mean VERY few) bright spots in Kentucky's defense as the sophomore has played well in his first season as a starter and has showed promise for the future. Still, there is no excuse for such a bonehead move in a game Kentucky had already won.  He owes us a pick-six as soon as he checks into the game in the second half. I'm serious, Martavius.  We're expecting it.
