Lots of good stuff going on in the world today, so here are a few tidbits: Tonight is the Jimmy V Classic, one of my favorite college basketball nights of the year, with Kansas v. St. Josephs and Michigan St v Boston College. I usually watch the affair for the sole purpose of seeing the Jimmy V Espy speech in between the two games, which I still think is one of the neatest moments on television that I have seen. Having said that, I also understand that everyone is very complex and thus I would be remiss if I didnt remind folks that Jimmy V had another side as well. Many of you are probably asking yourself, who is the best player in the Big Ten this season? Well if so, you likely would not have come up with Errek Suhr of Indiana. But that is why this Big TEN player rater is so very useful to you. I know that there are some people who believe that Vince Young should be the Heisman Trophy winner. But then there are those of us who have seen this tape of Reggie Bush from his highschool days. We know our vote goes Bush (for the first time in my case I might add). I know that many of us think that Duke has the corner on the market for obnoxious fans....well this clip of a Raiders fan suggests that there are some that can give them a run for their money. Finally, I feel I must link to this article by Patrick Hruby a favorite of KSR radio and a future guest. When not expounding on how much he hates Duke, he makes the valid point that the phenomenon of grown men wearing basketball jerseys has reached a level of absurdity that knows no bounds. Hopefully this will start a grass roots movement, that ends this practice and changes rap music videos in ways that we never could have imagined.
