[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="877"] UofL Athletics[/caption] Today's 5-2 loss to Louisville hurt.  Nick Mingione cannot deny it.  "At this point in the year, all the losses hurt a lot."  But there's very little time to dwell on the bad. The Cats did some good things.  After Zack Thompson surrendered two runs in the first inning, Louisville only had two more hits the rest of the game.  The Cats ended the game with hot bats, scoring two in the top of the ninth.  They will need it tomorrow against Brendan McKay. McKay has already won a few college baseball player of the year awards.  The heavy hitter and ace left-handed pitcher is 9-3 with a 2.31 ERA and allows opponents to hit just .178.  On the other side of the field, Kentucky's 6'11" SEC Pitcher of the Year Sean Hjelle will do his best to shut down the Cards, creating one of the best pitching duels in all of college baseball. "It's going to be a very special game with two high-quality arms," Mingione said after the game. When the UK head coach was asked how you can combat McKay's arm, he refused to give anything away.  "I'm not ready to tell you that.  I'll tell you after the game.  Is that okay?" It is okay, but only if it works.
