Do you have plans tonight? If so, cancel them, because the Kentucky Baseball team needs you.

At 6 p.m., the Bat Cats face Indiana for a spot in the Super Regional. As you probably know by now, the Hoosiers came from behind to beat Kentucky on Saturday night, sending the Cats to the loser’s bracket. Facing elimination, Kentucky rallied to dominate West Virginia 10-0 on Sunday afternoon, and a few hours later, did the same to Indiana, beating the Hoosiers 16-6 to set up a winner-take-all regional final tonight.

The Big Blue Nation broke the attendance record at Kentucky Proud Park Saturday night, with 6,094 fans in the stands for the Cats’ first game against Indiana. With a spot in the Super Regional — which would be only the second in Kentucky Baseball history — on the line, Nick Mingione wants to top that mark tonight.

“I thought our crowd was awesome today,” Mingione said last night. “Was it not? I mean, our people, the way they cheered for the strikeouts, just compliment the Big Blue Nation. And this is my plea to them to show up tomorrow. I would love to set a new record for attendance because it matters. It matters. And I believe we can do that.”

Tickets are available now starting as low as $10. If you can’t make it in person, the game will be streamed on ESPN+.

UPDATE: Marlana VanHoose will sing the national anthem

Kentucky is calling up a legend to make it a night to remember. Marlana VanHoose will sing the national anthem ahead of tonight’s game. The program shared the news with a video of Marlana singing the anthem ahead of the 2017 regional final, which, as you may remember, the Cats won.
