Dereck Lively II, Kentucky’s top remaining recruiting target in the class of 2022, is ready to announce his final decision.
The nation’s No. 2 overall prospect has set a commitment date for Monday, September 20 at 6:00 p.m. ET. He will officially choose between Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, and USC.
The 7-foot-2 center announced his decision date Friday afternoon.
Lively is considered the consensus No. 2 prospect in high school basketball, with On3, 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN all listing him as the top-ranked center in the nation.
As for a likely favorite, there are three total Crystal Ball and FutureCast predictions for Lively between 247Sports and Rivals, with all three favoring Kentucky.
Could Kentucky add the No. 2 prospect in the nation to go with the No. 1 (Sharpe) and No. 4 (Chris Livingston) players? We’ll find out Monday.
