No major surprises with Kentucky's Availability Report at Vanderbilt

Jack PIlgrimby: Jack Pilgrim01/27/26

Kentucky will have no more or fewer players in Nashville than it did at home against Ole Miss — or down the stretch vs. Texas, for that matter.

You knew Jaland Lowe would be out at Vanderbilt after undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery. You also knew Kam Williams underwent foot surgery, an injury set to keep him out most (if not all) of the remainder of the season. The only question mark was with Jayden Quaintance, whose knee is still acting up after playing four games for the Wildcats coming off his return to basketball nine months post-surgery. Swelling has been problematic, keeping him off the practice and game floors.

Nothing has changed for him, officially, in Kentucky’s eyes. The sophomore forward has been ruled out at Vanderbilt, alongside Lowe and Williams.

As for the Commodores, Frankie Collins (7.8 PPG, 4.7 APG, 4.2 RPG) has not played since December 17 with a lower-body injury and has been ruled out. The bigger one, at least short-term, is standout guard Duke Miles (16.6 PPG, 4.3 APG, 3.0 RPG), who is listed as questionable. He leads the SEC in steals per game at 2.8 with five games of five-plus steals — a game-changer on the defensive end for Mark Byington’s squad.

Next man up for the Cats. Can they turn five straight wins into six?
