Nobody is safe in college basketball

TCU won its first ever Big 12 game last night against No. 5 Kansas After seeing Kansas drop consecutive games to unranked teams and Florida trail by as many as 23 points in its by double-digit loss to Arkansas, I've officially given up on believing any team is elite.  Everyone is beatable.  Even Indiana lost at home earlier this season, the only place I thought the Hoosiers were unbeatable.  Wrong.  Miami beat No. 1 Duke by 27 points; top-ranked Louisville lost three in a row; and North Carolina and Kentucky can't buy a spot in the polls.  It really is a down year for college basketball. ---------------------------- 2012-13 College Basketball Upsets:  Feb. 6.....   TCU 62, (5) Kansas 55 Feb. 5.....   Arkansas 80, (2) Florida 69 Feb. 2.....   Oklahoma State 85, (2) Kansas 80** Feb. 2.....   Pittsburgh 65, (8) Syracuse 55 Jan. 26...   Georgetown 53, (5) Louisville 50 Jan. 26...   Villanova 75, (3) Syracuse 71 Jan. 23...   (25) Miami 90, (1) Duke 63 Jan. 22...   Villanova 73, (5) Louisville 64 Jan. 15...   Wisconsin 64, (2) Indiana 59** Jan. 12...   (20) NC State 84, (1) Duke 76 Jan. 10...   Oregon 70, (4) Arizona 66 Dec. 22...   Kansas State 67, (8) Florida 61 Dec. 22...   Temple 83, (3) Syracuse 79** Dec. 15...   Butler 88, (1) Indiana 86 Dec. 1.....   Baylor 64, (8) Kentucky 55** Nov. 29...   Notre Dame 64, (8) Kentucky 54 Nov. 25...   Cal Poly 70, (11) UCLA 68** Nov. 20...   Butler 82, (9) North Carolina 71 Nov. 18...   Oklahoma State 76, (6) NC State 56** **Home loss ---------------------------- We knew from the beginning the 2012-13 season would be down, but did anyone expect it to be this bad?  Filling out a respectable bracket this March is going to be impossible.  You'll win your office pool if you get any of the Final Four teams.  Correctly pick the two teams in the championship game and you're an expert. (I'm going with Butler and whatever team I draw from a hat.) But this is great for Kentucky fans.  In the one year Calipari's team is underachieving, the rest of America is also underachieving. The timing couldn't be better.
