Not a Saturday night for Oldham County, but there's good news

by:Thomas Beisner12/05/10

If you just looked at the box score and didn't watch the game, you might make the mistake of thinking that South Carolina was the only one catching a beating at the SEC Championship game.  Nope, there was enough embarrassment and shaming to go around.  At halftime, fellow Oldham Countian Matt Fairfield of Crestwood, Ky., who is for some reason attending Alabama next year, had a shot at $123,000 in the annual Dr. Pepper Throw-Off or whatever.  All that stood between Fairfield and free college was a wee little girl who was throwing chest passes.  And, well, you can watch the rest... Obviously, Matt, that's not the way you drew it up in your head.  But, fear not, because your good friends at Kentucky Sports Radio/Television/Dating are here for you and we want to offer you a shot at a Tosh-like web redemption.  We can't make up for the $123k, but we can surely help you get some of that street cred back and maybe even get you a Blue Dawn DVD.  And we all know how bad guys going to Alabama want one of those. We look forward to hearing from you.
