Ole Miss, Andy Kennedy parting ways at end of season

Breaking news in the SEC! According to Gary Parrish, Ole Miss and Andy Kennedy are parting ways at the end of the season. Per Jon Rothstein, the announcement will take place during a press conference this afternoon.
Kennedy has been at Ole Miss since 2006, making him the longest tenured head coach in the SEC, a title that will now be shared by John Calipari and Mark Fox (although the way things are going for Georgia, it might just be Calipari’s soon). He’s the winningest head coach in Ole Miss history, with a 245-154 record; that being said, he’s only taken the Rebels to the NCAA Tournament twice, in 2013 and 2015. The Rebels are 11-14 this season, 4-8 in conference play.
Kennedy is a character, and honestly, the only reason to go to SEC Basketball Media Day. He may not have taken Ole Miss to the next level, but he did get them a shiny new arena and dealt with Marshall Henderson for three years. That alone deserves a medal.
