Former Kentucky center Olivier Sarr will be taking his talents to Portland, signing an Exhibit 10 deal with the Trail Blazers.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news Sunday morning.

Sarr joins the Trail Blazers after playing 22 games for the Oklahoma City Thunder as a rookie in 2021-22. He averaged 7.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 19.1 minutes per contest, including an exceptional finish to the regular season with five straight games of double figures. His best performance came in a 117-96 win over Phoenix where he scored 24 points on an efficient 9-12 shooting and 5-6 from three to go with six rebounds and two blocks.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary NBA contract that provides flexibility for the team signing the player. Teams can convert a player’s one-year, minimum contract into a two-way contract before the start of the season. With an Exhibit 10 attachment, players can earn a bonus of up to $50,000 in the event they are waived by the team and sign with its G League affiliate for 60 days.

He’ll join former Kentucky signee Shaedon Sharpe with the Trail Blazers.

Sarr spent one season at Kentucky after transferring from Wake Forest. He averaged 10.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game for the Wildcats and led the team with three double-doubles.
