Oscar Tshiebwe‘s homecoming tour continues. Around lunch, Oscar will speak with reporters, and tonight, he will throw out the first pitch at Kentucky Proud Park for Kentucky Baseball’s series vs. No. 19 Vanderbilt. Oscar was supposed to throw out the first pitch at Lexington Legends Opening Day last night at Wild Health Field, but instead, tossed out some t-shirts to fans in the stands:

Oscar’s appearance is just one of the many promotions for this weekend’s series vs. the Vandy Boys. Tonight, Walker Montgomery will perform the national anthem and the first 1,000 fans in the stands will receive bat cups. There will also be a Chick-Fil-A food truck and a 90s/2000s rap/hip hop theme. All of the fun starts at 6:30 p.m.

Tomorrow, fans are encouraged to come to the game prior to the Chris Stapleton concert at Kroger Field. First pitch is set for noon and the concert starts at 6 p.m. Sunday’s game starts at 1 p.m. With beautiful weather on tap, UK is encouraging fans to bring their dogs to “Bark in the Park.” The first 250 pups will receive Kentucky bandanas. Tickets are still available at ukbaseballtix.com and all three games will be shown live on SEC Network+.

Kentucky (21-16, 5-10 SEC) is riding a three-game losing streak and needs some big wins for its NCAA Tournament resume. Even one victory over the Vandy Boys would help.
