Other People Get Upset Too....

lowe-doug-benc2.jpg Just so you know that misery loves company, it is worth remembering that Kentucky is not the only team to lose games to teams that it should not. These four teams had bad days yesterday as well, and while they arent Gardner-Webb (who lost to Radford recently), they arent UNC either..... NC State -- The Pack won an early season holiday tournament and looked to be going strong with JJ Hickson at the lead. But in the last week they lost to New Orleans and yesterday fell to Wilson, NC's finest, East Carolina. Sidney Lowe is a nice guy and a great recruiter....as for a coach....ehhh Syracuse --- The Cuse has not been in the house ol my gah, ol my gah. The A-10 has made scrap metal out of Jim Boeheim (whose wife incidently is from Middlesboro). Our own Travis Ford took UMASS into the Carrier Dome and put a beat down on the Orange, and yesterday Rhode Island (who is surprisingly good this year) did the same thing. At least their mascot is cool.... Oklahoma --- Unless it is an 19th Century war, you shouldnt lose a battle to Stephen F Austin but Jeff Capel and company did yesterday. The Big 12 has had some rough bumps as Bobby Knight has found a way to lose to both Stephen F and Centenary, proving that until football is over, no one cares about the round ball in the Big 12. Butler --- I like AJ Graves as a player a lot. One of the more fun guys to watch in America on a team that is consistently one of the best mid-majors in the country. But yesterday they lost a game to Wright State 43-42 in a battle that must have been completely unwatchable. If my grandfather were alive, his reaction would have been "Aint no state called Wright..." There you go.....pain in the early season is not limited to the Bluegrass state....
