According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the former Kentucky Wildcat is returning to play for the Los Angeles Clippers on a one-year deal. Patterson spent all of the 2019-20 season with the Clippers, averaging 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game across 59 regular-season outings. ESPN's Bobby Marks is reporting that Patterson will earn $2.3 million for the 2020-21 season. https://twitter.com/BobbyMarks42/status/1329940736918380545 L.A. was bounced in the Western Conference Semifinals down in the Orlando Bubble, suffering an embarrassing 3-1 blown series lead at the hands of Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets. The Clippers only have a handful of free agents this offseason, none of which are superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. The franchise had championship aspirations a season ago and will enter the upcoming year with the same mindset. Patterson wasn't exactly a key staple in the lineup once the playoffs came around, making just two appearances this past postseason, but he's a valuable veteran presence at 31 years old who can stretch the floor if necessary. Congrats to Patrick!
