After a dominant performance vs. Tennessee, PJ Washington has been named SEC Player of the Week.

Washington averaged 21.5 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and 1.5 steals against No. 19 LSU and No. 1 Tennessee. Saturday was his ninth 20-point game of the season and his seventh in the last eight games. He’s scored in double figures in ten straight games, the first player to do so since Shai Gilgeous-Alexander last season.

This is PJ’s second SEC Player of the Week honor of the season. Earlier this month, he shared the award with Tennessee’s Jordan Bone, making him Kentucky’s first two-time winner since Tyler Ulis earned the award three times during the 2015-16 season. Anthony Davis and Julius Randle also won the award multiple times during their careers at Kentucky. Pretty good company.
