We here at KSR are not the type to look backwards in life, so we see no reason in dwelling on the loss to Florida last weekend. But the Herald-Leader's Jerry Tipton was cut from a different cloth, and he still wants to know if PJ Washington got fouled in the final seconds of the loss to the Gators. So after last night's win over Mississippi State, Tipton asked Washington if he thinks he was fouled, to which Washington said yes, but it's not the reason UK lost. Washington told Tipton, "He definitely hit me in my face, but it never should've gotten to that point. We shouldn't have had a lot of turnovers, and that's the reason we lost." "Obviously it shouldn't have came down to that. We had way too many turnovers. I think we had 16 that game and six of them were walks. We shouldn't have been traveling. We should've been trying to make extra passes and get easy buckets." Washington also addressed the foul controversy on the postgame radio show. When asked by Mike Pratt, he said, "I feel like I was fouled. The refs didn't say that, but we definitely shouldn't have let it get to that." Ok let's move on because the past is the past and Kentucky has a trip to West Virginia ahead. Case closed.
