Poor Defense and Turnovers leave the Cats without a Chance

UK's defense showed that they need A LOT of work after giving up 468 yards of offense in a 32-14 loss to the Dirty Birds in the Governor's Cup. Louisville began the game with a 99-yard touchdown drive and never looked back. Probably the most important matchup of the night was U of L's offensive line vs. UK's defensive line, and the DLine lost miserably. Louisville controlled the line of scrimmage, and showed that the Defense needs to be taught how to tackle again. However UK's offense was night and day better than last season. The no huddle offense led by Max Smith was actually fun to watch, but 2 fumbles inside the Louisville 30, left the Cats empty handed on one too many possessions to keep the game close. Max finished the game  going 35-51 for 280 yards and 2 TDs, while giving the Wildcat faithful some entertaining offense to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.
