Mark Stoops wasn't overly impressed with football practice today. He told the media things were just average and they'll need to step it up this week. Part of today's setback, he believes, comes from new wrinkles that slowed the guys down. "We need to have a better day tomorrow," he added. One positive piece of news from practice: Cody Quinn is "back on track" at cornerback, according to D.J. Eliot, and he's good to go Saturday. They'll need him too, because Teddy Bridgewater will be looking to air it out against Kentucky's unproven secondary. Stoops said the corners can't hide against the Cards, they'll have to compete. Quinn confirmed it was a high-ankle sprain that kept him sidelined in the first two games of the season. Beat Louisville.
