Pyaar Impossible Sunday News and Views

pyaar A few months ago I subscribed to Netflix and have pretty much been watching movies and old TV shows nonstop since.  What I like most about it is that it can stream directly to my Playstation which enables me watch a whole slew of movies instantly- movies I typically wouldn't spend a couple dollars to rent at a home video place.  A couple nights ago I elected to watch a Bollywood movie.  For those of you who aren't in the know, Bollywood is India's equivalent to Hollywood which produces movies that are mostly a) cheesy b) romantic musical comedies and c) excellent.  The movie I watched was called Pyaar Impossible- the story of a very attractive gal and a really geeky dude.  I really enjoyed it and if you've got Netflix, definitely check it out.  It's a weird mish-mash of English and Hindi but subtitled throughout.  Give it a chance, you won't regret it.  On to the news...   --Biggest news of the day is that Patrick Patterson, Perry Stevenson, Mark Krebs and Ramon Harris walked across the stage and received their diplomas today.  My friend Susan was at graduation today for her sisters and she said that when PPatt walked across the stage, several folks gave him a standing ovation.  I can only hope they gave their own children standing O's, too.    I believe I can speak on behalf of the BBN when I say congratulations gentlemen, and you've made us all very proud. --Coach Cal caused a minor kerfluffle with the local media when he refused to answer questions after throwing out the first pitch at the Bat Cats game last night.  This led a couple message boards to light up and accuse Cal of cozying up to the national media (gave Katz a phone interview last night) but leaving local media out in the cold.  Cal took to Twitter to defend himself saying- "I hope the 4 media guys that I didn't talk to last night understand that I didn't want to hold a press conference during the baseball game.  I didn't know they were expecting me to talk after my first pitch & once the game started it wasn't the time/venue to be talking basketball. " --384 more UK fans lost interest in Terrence Jones. --The names of potential players to fill out the roster have come quickly in the past 24 hours.  Remi Dibo, Royce White and Kyle Cain are all names that have been floated about filling the 4 spot.  And just about 30 minutes ago, yet another name was attached to UK, this one being Kadeem Jack.  The 6'8" Jack was rated in Rivals 150 and but then decided to attend prep school.  But now with both UK and UNC having holes in the frontcourt, he's decided to take a look at both schools.  ZagsBlog says that Jack will be taking visits to UNC and UK in the coming weeks.  And the beat goes on... --NCAA deadline for withdrawing from the draft came and went.  We didn't want to believe it at first but eventually came to accept that all 5 Cats who declared for the draft stayed in.  We wish each of them the best and will be cheering for them on the next level.  I'll be joining Matt in buying a Cousins 15 jersey wherever he may go.  And if he ends up being a bass master, I'll buy his signature fishing pole. --I noted this on my Twitter (@pfbarker), but did you realize that this incoming group of freshmen is the first group that wasn't alive when Laettner hit "The Shot"?  Crazy. Stay tuned tomorrow as BTI will take you through the day.  Things from here start building towards the May 18 NBA Draft Lottery where the first 14 picks of the draft will be decided.  We'll then have a better idea of where we'll have to go to get those Boogie shirts.  I'm betting Sacramento.  Go Cats.
