Kentucky is seventh nationally and first in the SEC in turnover margin at +4. -- Senior tailback Derrick Locke needs 63 yards to become just the sixth player in school history to reach 2,000 rushing yards. -- With wins over Louisville and Western Kentucky, Joker Phillips became the first UK head coach to start 2-0 in his debut season since the legendary Paul “Bear” Bryant went 3-0 in his first season with Kentucky in 1946. Akron -- Akron lost its previous game against Gardner Webb in double OT after giving up a 31-7 third quarter lead -- Gardner Webb has a football team. -- The Zips are 0-4 all-time versus teams in the SEC's current alignment. -- Four of Akron's five touchdowns this season have come on the ground, three of which came courtesy of RB Alex Allen. -- Akron is terrible. -- I mean they're really, really, bad. -- Akon is the first solo artist to hold both the number one and two spots simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 charts twice.
