Green Bay Packers claim Quinton Bohanna off waivers
The NFL season unofficially begins on Thanksgiving when the push for the playoffs finally begins. The Green Bay Packers are in contention in the NFC and are loading up before a huge divisional game against the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday afternoon. General manager Brian Gutekunst is beefing up in the trenches by adding a former Kentucky defensive tackle.
Quinton Bohanna is now a Green Bay Packer.
The former three-star defensive tackle out of Greater Memphis signed with Kentucky in the 2017 recruiting cycle. Bohanna spent four years in the UK program and finished his collegiate career with 59 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and two sacks. The nose tackle was a multi-year starter who played a key role in UK’s odd front. Bohanna would come off the board in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

After spending two years with the Dallas Cowboys, Bohanna spent time in 2023 with both the Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans. The Kentucky product was a member of the Seattle Seahawks practice squad in 2024. Bohanna, 26, was waived on Thursday. The Packers picked him up on Saturday and added him to the active roster as they deal with some defensive line injuries. Bohanna has played over 600 snaps in his career and is now in position to help a playoff team.
Football weather has arrived. That means that teams will be competing for a championship in the NFL.
