A third Kentucky Wildcat wide receiver is leaving Lexington. Rahsaan Lewis has entered the transfer portal, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz.

Lewis went through Senior Day festivities at Kroger Field prior to the Louisville game. With the COVID-19 waiver, he has one year of eligibility remaining to play at his fourth different school.

The son of Hall of Fame linebacker, Ray Lewis, Rahsaan Lewis did not start playing football until his senior year of high school in 2017. The 5-foot-9 athlete began his college career playing defensive back at UCF, totaling four tackles in seven games. The following year he transferred to FAU, moved to wide receiver and played in four games to redshirt with the Owls.

Lewis transferred to Kentucky as a walk-on in 2020. He spent his first season as a practice player before turning some heads in the offseason. An explosive, albeit short, athlete in the slot, he played in six games in 2021 before suffering a mid-season knee injury. This fall Lewis played in nine games, highlighted be a four-catch, 42-yard performance against Mississippi State where he scored his first career touchdown. Will Levis connected with Lewis to give the Cats the lead in the third quarter of a tightly contested, much-needed win over the Bulldogs.

Rich Scangarello tried to run it back against Louisville, but the end zone fade to the slot fell incomplete. Lewis concludes his Kentucky career with eight receptions for 69 yards and one touchdown. His Kentucky career was not long, but it did produce one eye-opening moment last summer.
