Kentucky had a chance to steal a game that it struggled to score for much of, but they came up a little bit short in the second game of the weekend series at Vandy. The Cats were down 3-0 going into the 8th inning, but managed to tie the game on a 2-out, 2 RBI single from JT Riddle. Vandy scored on a triple in the bottom of the 8th to take back the lead, but Kentucky wasn't quite finished. They got runners to first and second with one out and it looked like they would tie the game when freshman AJ Reed hit a liner to the gap, but Vandy's Tony Kemp made a diving play to rob the Cats of the chance. A groundout to third ended it and set up tomorrow's rubber match. Kentucky hasn't lost a series to an SEC team this season, and will look to keep that alive and maintain the top spot in the conference when they play tomorrow afternoon in Nashville. The game starts at 2:00 and you can follow along on the UK IMG Radio network or via the live blog on UK Athletics.
