In the 112 years of college basketball's most storied program, no team has started a season better. Hats off to Cliff Hagan, Frank Ramsey and the 1954 Wildcats for their 25-0 season, which stood unmatched for 61 years. After the game, John Calipari was asked about the accomplishment, which he called “incredible.” “I’ll probably mention it tomorrow, what they’ve done. At a school like Kentucky to hold records like they’re holding, incredible stuff now,” Calipari said. Relive the highlights of win No. 26 right here:

Booker tied Willie with a team-high 7 rebounds

It was an eventful night for Devin Booker. Not only did Booker lead the Cats with 18 points, but he tied for the team lead in total rebounds (7) and offensive rebounds (4). Even though he uncharacteristically shot just 2-of-9 from 3-point range, he did everything else on a night when the Cats needed him to. “That’s what makes him what he is,” Cal said. “He’s not just a 3-point shooter now. He defends, he rebounds, he does all those other things so when he’s not making shots, I can leave him in the game.” In addition to a great stat line, Booker also smashed a Tennessee cheerleader and apologized for it after the game. Luckily, she is just fine:

Both point guards were excellent

Andrew Harrison and Tyler Ulis combined for 22 points, eight assists, three steals and just one turnover. The two also combined for three of UK's five made 3-point shots. Ulis and Booker especially stood out, but Andrew had another quality outing with 14 points.

It wasn't Karl Towns' greatest game

Karl sat out almost the entire first half due to two early fouls and didn't contribute much in the second half either. Towns was coming off an excellent string of games, but tonight wasn't his night with just three points and four rebounds. The star big man did have two really nice blocks.

Doug Shows trended nationally on Twitter

As someone on the live blog pointed out, an official should never trend nationally on Twitter. Scroll down a little bit further for ridiculous screen shots of two of the most brutally wrong calls you'll ever see. Or click right here. As bad as Doug Shows was tonight, I think we can all agree that Doug shows were great on 1990's Nickelodeon.

Trey Lyles kept the videobomb streak alive

John Calipari was videobombed in his post-game TV interview for the third straight game, this time by Trey Lyles. Trey also posted 10 points and five rebounds, including four on the offensive end. lylesvideobomb

Come on, Jerry!

Last but not least, Willie Cauley-Stein said "Jerry" a few times tonight in the post-game press conference. Willie answering a Jerry Tipton question with "Come on, Jerry" is now one of my favorite things. Willie also talked about opponents having "beer muscles" when the Cats let teams hang around. You can watch all of Willie and Devin's comments below. 26 down, 14 to go. @JohnWilmhoff
