Rivals analyst says UK has 'picked up ground' with Matthew Hurt

by:TJ Walker12/11/18
Rivals.com analyst Corey Evans still predicts Matthew Hurt ends up at Kansas, but noted that Kentucky "seems to have picked up the most ground in recent weeks." Well, that's good news. I've been saying for a little over a month that I think UK is the team to beat for Hurt, but it's never a bad thing when national analysts are starting to hear pro-Kentucky buzz regarding a five-star recruit. Read the entire article HERE. And no recruit in 2019 is more important that Hurt for the Cats. UK has missed on all of its big targets in the class and things don't look great between the Cats and five-star center Isaiah Stewart. Hurt has become a must for the Cats. Hurt took his first official visit to UK 10 days ago and since people close to Kentucky remain confident in landing the Minnesota native. The 6-foot-9, 200-pound stretch four is considering UK, Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, Minnesota and has visited set for UNC (next week) and Duke (Jan. 19th for the UVA game). He's also expected to visit Kansas, but it's unclear where/if he will take his fifth official visit. Boy wonder Jake Weingarten told me last week that he thought Hurt's recruitment could come down to Memphis and Kentucky. Listen to that interview HERE. Regardless, several experts consider UK to be in the thick of things and that's good news for the Cats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9vWfSwn5zg [mobile_ad]
