Romeo Langford battled back issues throughout the FIBA World Cup, but he’s determined to participate in the adidas Gauntlet Finale, which starts Wednesday in South Carolina. Langford didn’t play in Team USA’s semifinal loss to Canada on Saturday, but did chip in eight points vs. Spain in the bronze medal game yesterday. In his latest blog post for USA Today High School Sports, Langford says he plans to receive treatment for his back spasms when he gets home, then get on the road to South Carolina.

“I’ll probably be home for two days and then I’m heading to South Carolina for the adidas Gauntlet finals. Right now, my plan is to get home and get some treatment and I’ll see what happens then.”

Starting Wednesday, Langford and Immanuel Quickley will be in Spartanburg, while Team USA teammate Cameron Reddish will be at the Peach Jam in North Augusta, along with Marvin Bagley and Bol Bol. Jack and Nick will be at both events to bring you all the coverage you could dream of.
