Runs, runs, runs

This year's team has made it a point to hit teams in waves.  Unfortunately, the Cats have taken a couple tsunamis as well, making it even more impressive they sit at 10-0 right now.  Take a look at the amount of 8-0 or greater runs the Cats and their opponents have had this season: CATS Morehead St: 18-3 (5-4 deficit into 22-8 lead) Morehead St: 13-2 (31-25 lead into 44-27 lead) Miami (OH): 15-0 (36-18 deficit into 36-33 deficit) Miami (OH): 13-2 (50-44 deficit into 57-52 lead) Sam Houston St: 11-0 (3-2 lead into 14-2 lead) Sam Houston St: 9-0 (14-7 lead into 23-7 lead) Sam Houston St: 10-0 (50-42 lead into 60-42 lead) Sam Houston St: 8-0 (81-73 lead into 89-73 lead) Rider: 12-2 (6-4 deficit into 16-8 lead) Rider: 13-2 (18-12 lead into 31-14 lead) Rider: 10-0 (39-24 lead into 49-24 lead) Cleveland St: 9-0 (4-2 deficit into 11-4 lead) Cleveland St: 12-2 (35-27 lead into 47-29 lead) Cleveland St: 11-2 (47-31 lead into 58-33 lead) UNC-Asheville: 8-0 (to begin the game) UNC-Asheville: 10-0 (35-20 lead into 45-20 lead) UNC-Asheville: 17-3 (45-27 lead into 62-30 lead) UNC-Asheville: 9-0 (62-32 lead into 71-32 lead) Stanford: 12-2 (63-61 deficit into 73-65 win) North Carolina: 28-2 (9-2 deficit into 30-11 lead) UCONN: 12-0 (to begin the game) UCONN: 13-2 (40-34 deficit into 47-42 lead) Indiana: 12-2 (17-9 deficit into 21-19 lead) Indiana: 18-0 (48-47 deficit into 65-48 lead) OPPONENTS Morehead St.: 9-0 (28-14 lead into 28-23 lead) Morehead St.: 12-3 (72-47 lead into 75-59 lead) Miami (OH): 16-0 (16-14 lead into 30-16 deficit) UNC-Asheville: 13-2 (80-36 lead into 82-49 lead) Stanford: 11-0 (19-11 lead into 22-19 deficit) Stanford: 11-2 (30-27 lead into 38-32 deficit) North Carolina: 10-0 (45-28 lead into 45-38 lead) UCONN: 10-0 (12-0 lead into 12-10 lead) UCONN: 16-2 (16-10 lead into 26-18 deficit) Now, up to this point in the season, the Cats runs have outnumbered those of their opponents, and I feel like that will continue. But, if the Cats are the slip up and loss a game, look for the deciding factor being a big run from the opponent and the Cats lacking a big run.
