Ryan Mossakowski on His Decision to Transfer

by:Matt Jones01/31/11
I just got off the phone with Ryan Mossakowski, who had this to say about his decision to transfer: What was the reason you decided to make the final call to transfer? “I just really feel like that me being a competitor, I just really want to play. The coaches made it really clear that there was an open spot and we would be competing in the Spring. But I feel like that it is better for me to go to a school with a high chance that I will be playing.” Do you have any notion of where you may end up going? “I just want to get to a place where I get to play and I am the guy and I can get on the field for sure. I dont know where that is just yet but will be deciding here soon.” When did you end up making the decision to transfer? “After the Bowl game, I evaluated my situation and had been praying about it. I confirmed it a couple of days ago with my parents. I feel like that it is the best situation for me.” Did not getting to play in the Bowl Game have anything to do with your decision? “It was a little frustrating because I thought there would be an opportunity for me to get some time in the Bowl game. But I agree and support 110% the coaches and their decision for what is best for the team always.” Ryan was always a great kid to talk with while he was at Kentucky and we here at KSR wish him nothing but the best. We will let you know as soon as he makes a decision on his future destination.
