is coming out regarding Sam Maxwell's status for the bowl game.
Rich Brooks announced that Maxwell would undergo shoulder surgery and miss the bowl game. Junior Jacob Dufrene and true freshman Ridge Wilson will try to replace the senior strongside linebacker.
Sam has played extraordinarily well during his senior campaign with huge contributions during wins against Louisville, Auburn, and Georgia. With six interceptions this year,
Maxwell set a Wildcat record for interceptions by a linebacker in a season.
To say this is a huge loss for the Wildcats is an understatement. Everyone in the Commonwealth wishes the Georgia native a speedy recovery.
