Saturday Morning Links

  Good Saturday morning, BBN!  Hope everyone is enjoying their start to this mid-May weekend.  We have a long day ahead of us, so let's get your morning started off right with some links. -  John Wall and the Washington Wizards almost forced a game 7 against the Atlanta Hawks.  A last second three point attempt by Paul Pierce was good, but unfortunately he was just a tenth too slow releasing the ball.  Had this game been in the Final Four, it may have counted.  It's the same result as last year, with Wall's Wizards eliminated in the conference semi-finals by a #1 seed.  Wall's comments after the game shows his frustration. According to him, this season didn't show much progress, just the same result.  Check out what he had to say about his team's repeat loss in the playoffs. -  Bud Dupree will certainly be missed on the field at CWS this coming season, but for the Steelers, he may get playing time sooner than some believed.  According to this Steelers blog site, Dupree joins an aging group of linebackers whom may see decreased playing time.  With the likes of James Harrison climbing in age and Worilds' untimely retirement, Dupree has his foot in the door to compete for playing time as a rookie.  How much can we expect to see him on the field?  They have your answer. -  We've all seen the news that the NCAA will reduce the shot clock in Men's basketball games fo rnext season.  What you may not have seen, is that on the Women's basketball side, the committee has proposed to go with four 10-minute quarters instead of two 20-minute halves.  They say it would be a move to help with the flow of the game and limit physicality.  I'm not sure if I'm a fan of college basketball being played out in four quarters. Nonetheless, the vote will occur on June 8th.  Check out the proposed rule change, which possibly could transfer over to Men's basketball in the future.
