The petition, created by Global Friends of Muhammad Ali (GFO), has already garnered nearly 1,300 signatures in support of the name change. The organization has said its goal is to get 5,000 before presenting the petition to Kentucky lawmakers. GFO's mission is definitely doable, as name changes aren't unusual for airports. Louisville International was once known as Standiford Field until the 1990's and is still identified by the SDG three-digit letter code which will more than likely remain even if the airport's name is changed in the future. According to GFO members, renaming the airport in Ali's honor is fitting as the boxer was an international star who connected people from across the globe and would highlight Ali's humanitarian efforts to bring peace and understanding to all walks of life. During an interview with the Herald-Leader, Walker said an offer from Kentucky and Coach John Calipari is one you can't ignore. "Everybody knows Kentucky," Walker said. "In and out, NBA players. That's his thing. And he knows how to coach them. He coaches top talent. Not only does he coach them, but he makes them better players. Works on their weaknesses and their overall games and that's what makes them a lot better when they go into the league." Walker said after next month's Nike Peach Jam he is going to sit down with his father to discuss his options. The 6'5" guard said he hopes to make a decision before he begins his senior year. Walker is ranked as the No. 23 overall prospect in the class of 2017 by Scout.com. https://twitter.com/UKCoachCalipari/status/744158731131359232 In what is probably the best way to spend the Father's Day weekend, more than 600 father and son duos are spending some quality time with The Calfather himself during the second session of the John Calipari Father/Son camp. The third session of the popular camp will take place June 24 - 25.   The Dallas Morning News called out John Calipari recently for calling Dallas-based golfer Jordan Spieth a one-and-done college athlete on an Instagram post. The news site points out, Spieth was technically a sophomore when he left the University of Texas to pursue a pro career. Despite playing only one season for the university, in December 2012, Spieth announced he would be turning pro at the end of his sophomore semester. I say if the guy only played one season he is still considered a one-and-done, but hey that's just me. Perhaps we need to outline the rules for future reference, or perhaps the Dallas Morning News is just being a stickler.
