After experiencing plenty of ugly wins on the gridiron, Kentucky basketball fans got to experience an ugly weeknight win at Rupp Arena with a 78-65 victory over Mississippi State. For about 30 minutes, Kentucky could not consistently play good basketball.  Miss. State turned Kentucky turnovers (11 total) into points (18), while UK looked for leadership.  Finally, a Kentucky trio put together a run to take control of the game. Kevin Knox, P.J. Washington and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sparked a 13-2 run right around the eight-minute mark to give Kentucky a comfortable cushion.  The trio combined for 57 of Kentucky's 78 points.  State had one last run left, but it wasn't enough to beat Kentucky for the first time since 2009. Learning to love ugly victories is difficult.  You don't have to love it, just accept it...for now. [mobile_ad]
