Skal Labissiere on the trading block in Sacramento

If you've been keeping up with NBA news over the past few weeks, you know how troubling the situation is in Cleveland. The team has lost 11 of their last 15 games, they are holding player-only meetings to hash out their differences, and owner Dan Gilbert reportedly wants to sell the team. Oh, and all signs are pointing to LeBron James leaving after this season. In an attempt to give a temporary boost to the roster, the Sacramento Kings and the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in active trade discussions centered around Sacramento point guard George Hill and Cavalier forwards Iman Shumpert and Channing Frye. In order to make room for both players in the trade, the Kings have to clear a roster spot. Surprisingly, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting former Wildcat Skal Labissiere is being shopped around the league as a result.
“Sacramento has to clear a roster spot to take on one or two additional players in a trade with Cleveland and has been discussing deals for the Kings’ young forwards Malachi Richardson and Skal Labissiere, league sources said.”
Just two nights ago, Labissiere finished with 23 points, four rebounds, and two assists in a game against the Charlotte Hornets. Here were his highlights from the game: So in an obvious rebuild, you look to trade a 21-year-old Skal Labissiere who is finally showing the promise we all saw coming out of high school, for 34-year-old Channing Frye and 4.4 PPG, $10.4-million man, Iman Shumpert. Get him out of Sacramento. Now.
