-- Senior fullback Moncell "Turtlenator" Allen and junior linebacker Danny Trevathan have been named captains for the Florida game.  Allen's blocking has paved the way for Derrick Locke's impressive start to the season but he is still doubtful for the game with a hamstring injury.  Trevathan has led UK in tackles in all three games this season.  Both men were selected by Coach Phillips due to their performances last week against Akron.  I support Joker's decision but I've always said we should go with the two players who possess the best coin flip calling abilities rather than in-game performances. Oh well. -- UK's last victory over Florida was on November 15, 1986.  UK's next victory over Florida is on September 25, 2010. -- Sometimes we get so lost in Randall Cobb's eyes we forget about the other half of Kentucky's explosive offense.  Derrick Locke is the leading rusher in the SEC with 372 yards and 5 touchdowns while averaging an incredible 6.1 yards per carry.  That's what some would call "going ham."  I think it's time someone with an arts and crafts background hits up Hobby Lobby and starts production on that Legend of Locke poster. -- In high school news, two 2011 UK commits scored four touchdowns this past weekend. Paducah Tilghman's Josh Forrest scored four times, including twice on defense, and Jon Davis found the endzone four times for Eastern H.S.  Go Future Cats. -- Chip Cosby (can I say Chip Cosby on here?) wrote a great article on how the Cats need to look to avoid an early KO on Saturday.  Kentucky trailed 31-0 after one quarter last season and had two punts blocked in the first quarter two years ago in Gainesville.  If the Cats want to have any chance at all to win this game, they need to come out early and hit Florida in the mouth.  Going down early will likely just lead to yet another blowout courtesy of the Gators. -- It has been said many times already but I would like to reiterate how bad it sucks that Kentucky plays Ole Miss at noon.  That's all.  See you in The Grove at 5 am. -- And just to get you ready for the Gators...
