Softball Advances to Super Regionals

The Wildcats took on Notre Dame in the Regional Finals in an attempt to advance to the Super Regionals. After a comeback, Kentucky defeated the Fighting Irish 4-3. Offensively, Nikki Sagermann led the Cats to a victory with two runs, three hits, and one RBI. Kara Howard provided a run and a hit and Christian Stokes added remaining run of the game. Although she was not able to score, Griffin Joiner contributed to the Wildcat’s success immensely. She delivered two hits and two RBI, while Sylver Samuel and Maisie Steed each added a hit. Defensively, Kelsey Nunley allowed seven hits and three runs. Kentucky will take on the No. 1 Florida Gators in the Super Regionals in hopes of advancing to the Women’s College World Series.
