Some Louisville Fans wouldn't trade Scott Satterfield for Nick Saban

The Louisville football team has won seven games. Scott Satterfield’s early success on the field means the Cards will go bowling this holiday season and that their fans are once again delusional.

The latter revealed itself to the world thanks to a Tweet from the Courier Journal’s Tim Sullivan. As the Cards extended their lead over Syracuse Saturday evening, Sullivan supplied this food for thought.

That’s not explicitly saying Satterfield is the second-best coach in the country, but you better believe some UofL fans agreed with that sentiment. The replies are stupendous.

CardsPope writes:

“I wouldn’t trade him for Saban either.”

He’s not the only one taking Satterfield over Saban. Keith doesn’t need Nick Saban, neither does Kyle and LouCardFan#beat_UK is even more enthusiastically behind Satterfield.

“I honestly wouldn’t trade him for Saban either. @CoachSattUofL has a personality that is enthusiastic and contagious. We are rising, heading to the top, and coach Satterfield and this staff will lead us there.”

Totally Not Jason believes the 68-year old wouldn’t stick around for long anyway.

“To be honest I am not sure I’d want Saban either. I’m convinced he’s going back for round two in the NFL sooner than later.”

The best response that is not ironic whatsoever at all came from Richard, the same guy who once cheered for teams coached by Rick Pitino and Bobby Petrino.

“I would never want Saban…. I want a decent human first then worry about wins – Satterfield gives both and more”

It’s good to have delusional Louisville fans back in our lives. It was fun to kick the Cards while they were down for a little while, but the rivalry is so much more fun when the entire #L1C4 is a walking, talking Rick Pitino hyperbole.
