Did someone say "douche"?
They say the toughest part of sports is having to fire a coach who is a good guy, does things the right way and is a beacon of class for the University. I'm not sure what "they" would say about this.
Former UK coach Hal Mumme and his "Air Raid" attack were canned at New Mexico State. Well, the Air Raid might be staying but Mumme is definitely out, getting booted after a 4-28 conference record the past four years in the Land of Enchantment. Of course, just to make sure he'll be ok financially after failing miserably, Ted Danson's twin will be given over $300,000 by the school to basically get out of town.
For those of you who are interested, I'd accept a similar buy-out to end my mediocre writing on this site. However, I am very firm on the 300k figure. Not a cent less.
