Sometimes in the Morning I Like to be Incredulous

I can't tell if Capilouto is trying to give him the trophy, or take it from him. I honestly can't think of anything to say right now.  I stayed up way too late, got up way too early, and have way too much adrenaline pumping to think clearly right now.  I cannot believe how good this team was from start to finish, and I can't believe we're already in the offseason.  I can't believe that Anthony Davis went 1-10 from the field, and we still won by eight.  I absolutely could not believe Marquis Teague showing off his Doctor J in the first half, avoiding a block by Thomas Robinson.  Who knew he could do THAT?  Not to mention that three-pointer and a couple free throws at the end to ice the game.  Kid was unreal. I can't imagine how Darius Miller feels right now, after going through so much since his freshman year.  If anybody wanted this one more than Cal, it was him.  And if anybody in my family wanted to win more than me last night, it was my grandparents, who I can't believe were up when I called them at midnight just to say "Go Cats."  Of course they were up, I don't know why I doubted them. I can believe that these Cats won the tournament; we all expected them to from Selection Sunday.  But I can't believe the road they had to take to get there, and the poise they showed throughout.  Rematch with a rival school that beat you in the regular season?  No problem.  Final Four game against in-state enemy with all the pressure in the world on your back?  Child's play.  Title game against the "other" Player of the Year candidate who feels like he has something to prove?  Done and done.  This is maybe the best tournament run of my lifetime, and I can't believe I was able to watch every minute of it. So this morning, as I wake up and realize that it wasn't all a dream (although I seriously did dream about it last night), I can only sit and shake my head.  There's so many different things that stood out, but as an overall performance, as a year-long product of hard work and unreal talent, this team is one of the best to ever put on the Kentucky jersey.  Those other teams did some great things, but this year I think they deserve a special name to remember them by. Because the Cats in '92 were called the Unforgettables.  In '96 they were called the Untouchables.  In '98 they were called the Comeback Cats.   In 2012?  I can only call them the Unbelievables.
