UPDATE: Matt House will stay at Kentucky

by:Jack Pilgrim02/09/19
How about some more good news to get your Saturday night started? Yesterday morning, ESPN's Field Yates reported Kentucky defensive coordinator Matt House was expected to leave the program to join the Kansas City Chiefs as their linebackers coach. https://twitter.com/FieldYates/status/1093854603479842816 Tonight, KSR has learned that Kentucky may be keeping their talented defensive mind after all. Sources tell KSR that the House-to-Kansas City talks may have been premature, and it is now "very likely" he stays at Kentucky as defensive coordinator. https://twitter.com/KySportsRadio/status/1094372795520290822 House's defense at Kentucky this past season finished as the No. 6 scoring defense and No. 23 total defense in all of college football, a unit that ultimately led the Wildcats to their best record since 1977. To turn down a franchise set up to contend for Super Bowls for the next several years in favor of Kentucky is absolutely massive for the program.

--------------UPDATE-------------

The University of Kentucky has confirmed that Matt House has turned down Kansas City's offer and will remain as the team's defensive coordinator. Massive news for the Kentucky football program. [mobile_ad]
