Kentucky's chances with five-star center Stephen Zimmerman don't look great right now. Jerry Meyer's sources say Zimmerman will commit to UNLV any day now, and yesterday, he canceled all of his scheduled in-home visits.
That means Kentucky's best shot to recruit him lies on the shoulders of their three signees at this weekend's Jordan Brand Classic. Apparently, Skal Labissiere is already giving it his best shot.
According to Adam Zagoria, Zimmerman says Skal Labissiere is trying to get him to come to Kentucky. In fact, Skal told Zagoria that he's also recruiting Jaylen Brown and Malik Newman. Keep it up, Skal.
Meanwhile, Jeff Borzello is reporting that combo guard Dazon Ingram still doesn't have an offer from Kentucky and plans on announcing his decision on Friday. Borzello also reports Malik Newman, Kentucky's primary target at combo guard, doesn't plan on signing a letter of intent, just scholarship papers, which means his recruitment could go on even longer. Oh boy.
