Stevie Johnson will have minor surgery

by:Matthew Hays04/30/12

It’s easy to forget that Johnson was playing through a groin injury during last season’s 1,000 yard, seven touchdown campaign. Johnson now plans to undergo minor surgery to correct that injury. His agent CJ Laboy told WKBW-TV in Buffalo that the surgery will be extremely minor and won’t keep Johnson out for any of the Bill’s preseason activities.

Stevie has certainly been the most productive NFL Cat over the past few seasons so we hope this surgery gets him back to full strength and allows him to continue the great play he has displayed thus far. Buffalo seems to be a team on the rise so it’d be great to see him pair his individual and statistical success with some team success.

If he can get his head on straight and figure out a way to stop getting fined, UK’s former Fly Guy will certainly be considered one of the best all around wide receivers in the league. Good luck, Stevie. We’ll be rooting for you.
